Paul Gillard - an English artist, born 1959
The eldest of four, Paul grew up in Kent and went to art college in Canterbury, then studied graphic design at the London College of Printing. Later on, he worked as a freelance graphic designer for various TV companies such as Thames TV, Granada TV and Tyne Tees TV.
He likes work by artists such as William Turner, Howard Hodgkin, Gerhard Richter, Henri Matisse, Vincent van Gogh, Paul Klee, Sean Scully and Mark Rothko.
Paul lives in Devon, close to stunning scenery that inspires him. Pastimes include cycling, walking and digital photography.
